Ingredients1 1/2 lbs ground beef
4 large cloves of garlic
1 1/2 cup of chopped onion
1 cup of chopped green pepper
1 (28oz) can of italian tomotoes, drained (save juice) and broken up
1 1/2 1-pound cans of kdiney beans, drained, reserve juice
1 8oz can of tomato paste
1 tsp salt
4-8 teaspoons of chili powder (or more)
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp of chopped pickled jalapeno peppers
1 tsp of cayenne pepper
Instructions1. Brown ground beef.
2. Remove ground beef and drain all but 3 tbsp of grease
3. Cook veggies in the grease until limp. Make sure NOT to brown garlic
4. Stir in meat and remaining ingredients and simmer for an hour.
Check after 45 minutes, if chili is too thick, add some tomato juice and/or kidney bean juice
