American Beef Stew

Ingredients
2 lbs. Beef chunks
2 tbsp olive oil
1.5 cups of beef broth
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, sliced
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 tsp allspice
Splash or two of Tabasco
4 carrots
3 potatoes
1 celery stalk
1/2 cup kidney beans
Various combination of peas, corn, pasrsnip, zuchini, etc.

Instructions
In Dutch oven, brown meat in oil.
Add beef broth and next 10 ingredients, cook 1.5 hours
Add veggies and cook another 30 to 45 minutes.
For gravy:
Skim fat off liquid.
Measure 3/4 cup of broth.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour.
Stir slowly back into stew, simmering until thick.
